Professional Experience
With over 19 years of experience in medical billing, coding, and utilization review, Reverend Warren has built a distinguished career in healthcare administration. She has served as the Facility Manager for Little Rock African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church, working closely with community leaders and organizations throughout the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area. Her responsibilities included scheduling events for the Little Rock Cultural Center (formerly the Afro-American Cultural Center) and serving as Executive Director of the Little Rock Community Development Corporation. She played a key role
in the development of Varick on 7th, a 105-unit inclusive apartment community. Additionally, she is the owner of The Kinnon Project, LLC.
Ministry and Ordination
Reverend Warren was ordained a Deacon in the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church at Moore’s Sanctuary in Salisbury, North Carolina, by Bishop Cecil Bishop on May 11, 2004. She was ordained as an Elder at Steele Creek AME Zion Church by Bishop George E. Battle, Jr. and Bishop W. Darin Moore in December 2013. She received her first pastoral appointment by Bishop George E. Battle, Jr., as pastor of Pleasant Hill AME Zion church in Rockingham, North Carolina, from 2020 to 2022, and was appointed by Bishop Darrly B. Starnes in 2022 to serve as pastor of the Wayman Chapel AME Zion church in Hamlet, North Carolina.
Published Works and Media
Reverend Warren has contributed to the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church Quarterly Review Magazine as a Copy Editor and has published a sermon in the April 2009 Edition, Volume CXXI No.2, titled “A Message to Christians.” She appeared on “In Focus with Loretta Boniti” at Spectrum News 1 in January 2019, discussing “Using Faith to Make A Difference: Continuing MLK’s Legacy of Faith-Based Activism.” She has also served as assistant to the General Officer of Health and Social Concerns of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church.
Community Service and Leadership
Reverend Warren has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service. She has served on advisory boards for the Little Rock Community Development Corporation, the Sickle Cell and Community Health Organization, and the Minority Health Task Force. Her leadership roles include Charlotte Mecklenburg NAACP Membership Co-Chairperson, Chairperson of WIN (Women In NAACP), Freedom Fund Banquet Chairperson, and Chairperson of Religious Affairs.

She holds memberships in several organizations, including the NAACP, The Order of Eastern Star (Christian Workers Chapter #301), Daughters of the Imperial Constituent Court Rameses Court #78 (an auxiliary of A.E.A.O.N.M.S, PHA), The Golden Circle, PHA (Zack Alexander Assembly #35), Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. (Queen City Chapter), and is a charter member of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Incorporated (Epsilon Nu Chapter) A professional and business women Sorority.
Early Life and Education
Reverend G. Rebecca Warren was born and raised by her grandparents in Vidalia, Georgia. She
graduated from Vidalia High School in 1982 and later moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she
attended Georgia State University. In 2004, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from
Livingstone College in Salisbury, North Carolina, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During her time at
Livingstone, she was inducted into the Alpha Kappa Mu National Honor Society (Alpha Psi Chapter)
and the Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society for Adult Students in Continuing Higher
Education (Nu Zeta).
Personal Life
Reverend Warren is married to Charles Warren, and they have two children, Sherea Warren and
Demetrie Warren.
